Welcome! Sola Studios is made up of Lauren and Tim Sanderlin. Lauren is originally from Texas, and Tim grew up here in Birmingham. We found each other our second year at Auburn, and we’ve been inseparable ever since! After getting married in 2018, we grew our duo to a quartet with the arrival of our daughter Livi in 2021 and son Whit in 2023. We picked up photography in 2015 as a fun hobby, but we started doing it professionally in 2018. 

Lauren serves as the visionary. She is the primary photographer and handles most sessions. She loves creating poses and prompts for every occasion to best capture you and your goal for the session. Lauren has a knack for capturing images that express both the beauty of the moment and the personalities of the people present. 

Tim is the gadget guy who knows the ins and outs of every piece of equipment we use. He did weeks (maybe months!) of research before choosing and purchasing the camera or lens. For weddings, events, or upon request, Tim serves as the second shooter. He keeps everyone laughing to ensure your natural smile is in full effect!
